Backlog of NAR Files in the Input Directory is Slowing Down Performance Of EP Cartridge
(Doc ID 3049450.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Offline Mediation Controller - Version 12.0.0.8.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On Oracle Communication Offline Mediation Controller (OCOMC) 12.0.0.2.8 version, backlog of Network Accounting Record (NAR) files in the input directory is slowing down the performance of Enhancement Processor (EP) Cartridge.
It is being observed that when the EP (Record Processing EP) has backlog of hundreds of thousands of files in the input directory, the performance throughput of the cartridge is reduced.
As per the profiler collected for EP, EP is spending lot of time to get the next NAR to process and also deleting the processed NAR files from a crowded directory.
This is impacting the node performance throughput and needs to be addressed.
CURRENT OUTPUT
-------------------------------
There were 1.6Million NAR files. each containing 1000 CDRs
Current throughput is 400-600 per second
EXPECTED OUTPUT
-----------------------
There were 1.6Million NAR files. each containing 1000 CDRs
Expected throughput is above 2000,
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Process around 80 millions of CDR's
