Applies to:
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - Version 8.0.7 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure (OFSAAI / AAI)
Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
Goal
Question 1: Will be upgrading OFSAA with a 3-tier current architecture. Is there a configuration guide explaining how OFSAA is set up on a web, app and database layers?
How are the components being separated and installed individually?
Question 2: The approach is to clone the current production which is a 3 tier topology as well and upgrade them from 8.0.7 to 8.1.2, so need guides to make sure the clone is functional before the upgrade process.
For example, need instructions on how to configure the web server and how to separate the components of OFSAA since the installer creates the components together (ficweb, ficdb & ficapp).
Where is the cloning information documented?
Question 3: How to configure Oracle HTTP server for OFSAA is there a clear guide on how to do this?
Question 4: Is it required to separate the ficweb directory from OFSAA and move it to the web server?
Question 5: In order to install and configure the Oracle HTTP server for OFSAA, is it supposed to be in standalone mode or collocated domain?
Planned architecture is just 3 tiers:
web-app-db
Question 6: If configuring the sample mod_wl_ohs.conf file with Weblogic information, will this enable the re-routing and Oracle HTTP server for the OFSAA application?
Question 7: Is a database client installation needed on the web server?
