When adding any type of characteristic to case, the page occasionally does not produce any text field .

Steps to reproduce:

Create a Case
Add Case Characteristics
Select a Characteristic Type to be added
Select Blank
Select the previous Characteristic Type
Expected Result: Input field for Characteristic Value is shown
