Goal

Encountering an error while setting a serial number that exceeds 40 characters in length.

 UIM Logs-

Exception [EclipseLink-4002] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.6.7.v20190604-418f1a1c56): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DatabaseException
Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "UIMADMIN"."EQUIPMENT"."SERIALNUMBER" (actual: 47, maximum: 40)


Increase length of serial number attribute of equipment to 256.
