Agile Web Client Shows Wrong Status 'On Track' for Tasks That Are Past Due

Symptoms
Issue with tasks showing the correct status. Tasks that are past due are still showing as "On Track" and showing as a green icon (indicating on track for the Task).
The workaround is to "refresh" the task by updating the schedule end date or moving the task to a different status and then moving it back to what it was originally.
Then the task will update to show as "Off Track" with the red square icon.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Web Client:http(s)://<FQDN>:<port>/Agile/PLMServlet.
2. Go to a Project with end date past due.
3. Check the status | Schedule and overall : Both are on track.
4. Check the lights - both are green instead of red.
5. Refresh the Project after making any small change.
6. The status is reflected correctly this time.
