How To Test And Upgrade From Earlier Datawarehouse / Analytics To Later Release

The datawarehouse and analytics documentation provides minimal instructions for upgrading environments. 

When customers are running older versions, it is necessary to refer to multiple versions of Datawarehouse documentation to determine the easiest upgrade path, as multiple INSTALLATIONS AND UPGRADES MUST BE PERFORMED.

For example, it is not possible to upgrade directly from release 17.12 to 23.12.

In addition, on-premise customers should TEST the overall process in an environment prior to performing the upgrade(s) in a production environment.
