ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

P6 Professional is generating different spread values than P6 (web) Assignment pages and P6 Web Services ActivitySpread/Assignment Endpoints for Activity/Resource Assignment Planned Units, Remaining Units, At Completion Units when the assignment has a manual curve and the stored curve data duration differs from the current duration on the assignment/activity.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

P6 Professional should return the same spread values as P6 (web) and P6 Web Services.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

The following steps provide example of the actual behavior (using P6 Professional):

1. Create a new activity assigned to a 5x8 calendar
2. Set the following on the activity:
   • Planned Start: 27-Sep-24 08:00
   • Planned Finish: 25-Jun-27 16:00
   • Planned Duration: 5752
3. Assign a resource to the activity and reset the planned units on activity to 0
4. Browse to the assignment page
5. Change the timescale to Month/Week and set the following planned units:
   • 23Sept24 Bucket: 46097 hours
   • 30Sept24 Bucket: 46098 hours
   • 04Aug25 Bucket: 1310497 hours
   • 11Aug25 Bucket: 1310497 hours
   • 18Aug25 Bucket: 1310497 hours
   • 25Aug25 Bucket: 1310497 hours
6. Change the timescale to Year/Month and set the following planned units:
   • Jun27 Bucket: 12285064 hours
7. Commit changes
   • Note that the following manual curve data is stored in the TASKRSRC.target_crv/TASKRSRC.remain_crv columns: 46097:32;46098:40;0:1720;5241988:160;0:3648;12285064:152
8. Change the activities planned duration to 5696 which will adjust the planned finish to 16-Jun-2027 16:00
9. Note the following differences:
   • P6 (web) and P6 Web Services: There will be 0 units spread between Sept25-Apr27 buckets
   • P6 Professional: There will be units spread across Sept25-Apr27 buckets
