Policy Future Allocation Screen Problem with Last Fund Entered (Doc ID 3065486.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 02, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.3.1.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.3.1.10 version, Fund

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Following an upgrade from v10.2.0.39 to v11.3.1.10, the Policy Future Allocation Screen does not refresh correctly when the user clicks SAVE button directly after entering the percentage on the last Fund.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Allocation Screen on the specific Policy.
2. The screen displays a list(4) of Funds along with their Percent (25%).
3. Change the percentage of the 3rd Fund from 25% to 30% and click tab.
4. The screen refreshes correctly and updates the Total to 105% as expected.
5. Now, change the percentage of the 4th Fund from 25% to 20%.
6. Do not hit tab. Do not click off the percentage box. Instead, go directly to hitting Save after entering this percentage.
7. The screen does NOT refresh correctly.
8. The user will receive a warning message “Future Allocations: 105%: Total must equal to 100 percent”. The Total will incorrectly remain at 105% instead of recalculating to 100%.
9. Additional problem…if the user to retype in the 20% and click elsewhere on the screen….the screen does not refresh to correct itself. It remains “as-is”. The only way a user can now get the screen to refresh is to change the percentage to something other than 20%, click elsewhere on the screen, then enter the 20% and click elsewhere on the screen BEFORE clicking Save.
