Can Elastic Search Be Used Without ISC And Can Opensearch Also Be Used Instead Of Elastic Search? (Doc ID 3080617.1)

Goal

Is it feasible to determine that Opensearch could also be used (in place of Elasticsearch), as this is just a forked branch from Elasticsearch? If Opensearch was built and some enhancements were needed for the Messaging Server, would this be supported?

Can Elasticsearch be run without the Indexed Search Converter (ISC) and only index body searches, but not any documents? It appears that ISC is required for Elasticsearch configurations; can Opensearch be run without ISC?
