GL OFSA Integration Utility Brings Over GL Balances Of The Wrong Signs (Doc ID 311966.1)

Last updated on MARCH 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Data Manager - Version 4.5.38 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The GL-OFSA (General Ledger-Oracle Financial Services Applications) Integration utility brings over GL balances of the wrong signs. The utility brings over GL balances (Profit and Loss P&L accounts) without considering whether it is debit or credit, resulting in the wrong Month movement.

Example:
OGL (Oracle General Ledger), Month Movement
Premium Income -298,943.37 (negative credit)

LEDGER_STAT MONTH_01
Premium Income -298,950.62 (We expect to see positive amount since negative credit results in positive.

Account Type = 100 Earning Assets.

We changed the Common_COA to use other Account Type : 150 - Non Interest Income, and 350-Non Interest
Expense, but the same negative amount for Premium Income results.
