MSCPLD Loader Worker With Direct Load Option Errors With Sql*Loader-500 Error SVR4 Error: 79: Value too large for defined data type (Doc ID 332684.1)

Symptoms

The Loader Worker, MSCSLD, was failing when Sql*Loader was trying to load the pegging file.

ERROR
-------------------
SQL*Loader-500: Unable to open file
(/u06/app/applmgr/prps041/out/M303461MSLD_FULL_PEGGING.dat)
SVR4 Error: 79: Value too large for defined data type


STEPS
-------------------
1. Run a very large plan, with long horizon and pegging.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
This will shutdown production plans. It may be possible to reduce the horizon, but for this
particular customer, even when reducing the horizon, they ran into same problems since their
demand data had increased dramatically.

By reviewing the Loader Worker log, one can see the version of Sql*Loader being used :
