Program - Enterprise Performance Foundation General Ledger Hierarchy Rule Engine
This problem can occur on any platform.
OGL EPF Integration
When running a sequence enforced dimension hierarchy rule to transfer a hierarchy from Oracle General Ledger (OGL) into Enterprise Performance Foundation (FEM), the following error occurs in the "View Log":
Creating dimension attributes.
Dimension member 12345678 is already assigned to a dimension group that conflicts with the new assignment.
Dimension member 98765432 is already assigned to a dimension group that conflicts with the new assignment.
Process registration has failed.
As a result, the hierarchy transfer fails.
A dimension hierarchy rule has been run previously for the dimension.
Steps to replicate:
- Go to Enterprise Performance Foundation Administrator
- Go to "Data Rules" → "Oracle Dimension Sources" → "Chart of Accounts" → "Define Hierarchy Rules"
- Search for a rule and click on the "Run" icon to submit it
