Goal

How can a purchase order (PO) be processed successfully for an item for less than its inner size after replenishment?

For example:

An item was created with an inner size of 6 and a case size of 36.  An inventory requirement was created in the store which is less than the inner size (i.e., 6) of the item.  After replenishment processing, it is found that an order for less than 6 was processed for the item/location.  How is this possible?
