Cannot See Activity ID in Switch Dimension Screen - Not Using Activity Rules (Doc ID 360934.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.
You cannot populate the ACTIVITY_ID column in a transaction table because no default value exists for "Activity". Additionally, you cannot create a default value for the Activity ID because Activity does not appear in the "Switch Dimension" screen.
Steps to navigate to the "Switch Dimension" screen:
Go to the Enterprise Performance Foundation Administrator responsibility
Go to "Configuration Rules" → "Dimension" → "Switch Dimension" → "More..."
"Activity" does not exist in the "Switch Dimension" list.
