Classic Constrained Plan FIFO Pegging With Dynamic Safety Stock Produces Unexpected Results (Doc ID 368676.1)

Symptoms

Why the plan result for a specific item is unexpected in the sense that:
- On Hand inventory is pegged to September 2007 demand while a planned order for April is pegged to demand in April. System should use on hand before future planned order supply
- System pegs to safety stock only part of the safety stock demand (8,261 out of 16085.65)
- Planned order for April could be postponed if the system pegged On hand inventory first
