How Are Consignment Items/Sales Handled By SIM? (Doc ID 388470.1)

Goal

How do Consignment Item sales get updated in Store Inventory Management (SIM)?

Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) passes sales data into SIM through a POSU file.  This is the same file that Retail Merchandising System (RMS) uses to import sales data.  However, SIM is not designed to maintain consignment items. Consignment items should be maintained by the suppliers themselves (i.e., replenishments, stock counts, etc.).   However, it has been observed that:

  1. Consignment sales are being passed into SIM
  2. The POSU file for SIM contains consignment items
