On 11.5.9 in Production:

You are using Advanced Supply Chain Planning and trying to implement auto-release functionality for the planned orders. After running MRP there is a purchase order with 5000 quantity that has been rescheduled from 08-SEP-2006
to 14-AUG-2006. On checking the Pegging activities the quantity 2312 has been pegged with planned demand order in Aug'06 and the rest of the quantity 2679 has been pegged with planned demand order in Sep'06.
Please explain why MRP suggests moving 2679 pc’s to Sep'06 while keeping 2312 pc’s due in Aug'06 by splitting the existing purchase order quantity (i.e. 5000) by date rather than suggesting the whole quantity (i.e. 5000) in Aug'06.
