Understanding Setup Options for ASCP Inline Forecast Consumption (Doc ID 393096.1)

Symptoms

It is found that the forward and backward forecast consumption is not taking place as expected though the plan is setup to consume the forecast: Consume by Forecast Buckets, forward days: 10, backward days: 10 and Include Sales Orders.


We have verified that
1. Item's Forecast Control is "Consume and Derive".
2. MRP:Compute Sales Order Changes : Yes
3. MRP:Consume Fcst Set Summary : No
4. MRP:Consume Forecast : Yes
5. Consume forecast box checked on forecast in MRP Forecast Set form
6. Plan options - Main tab has  Consume by Forecast bucket  - checked, Backward Consumption Days: 10 and Forward Consumption Days: 10
7. Include Sales Orders: checked in Organizations tab 
8. MSC: Consume forecasts using Internal Sales Orders - Yes (Download PDF from Note 803583.1 for more information)
