OGL EPF Data Integration
This problem can occur on any platform.
Unable to add attribute values to user defined attributes. Renamed the existing USER DIMENSION 1 to 'ACT-RES' dimension.
While defining OGL EPF Data Integration, the concatenated segments of Activity-Responsibility were mapped to the ACT-RES dimension in EPF. Dimension Rules were run using 'Submit All Rules' for the Chart of Accounts and all dimension members were created properly.
Defined new user defined attributes for the above dimension (i.e. USER1 dimension). However, even though values may be added for these attributes for new dimension members created through EPF, unable to assign values to members already created from OGL.
Expect to be able to add attribute value to user defined attributes
Responsibility: Enterprise Performance Foundation Administrator
Step 1: Rename existing User Dimension 1 to "ACT-RES" dimension.
Step 2: Map User Dim 1 to segments in CoA (Data Rules -> Oracle Dimension Sources -> Chart of Accounts)
Step 3: Run Dimension Rules. Members are created.
Step 4: Define new attributes for this dimension
Step 5: Query existing member and click update
