Cannot Delete Mapping Rules - Rules Share Same Local Condition (Doc ID 394218.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 12, 2009

Applies to:

Oracle Profitability Manager - Version: 11.5.10 to 11.5.10.2
Oracle Enterprise Performance Foundation - Version: 11.5.10 to 11.5.10.2
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

In Profitability Manager 11i, two Mapping Rules have somehow become linked because they both now share the same local condition.  You cannot remove the local condition from either Mapping Rule.  When you try to delete one of the Mapping Rules, the following error occurs after clicking the "Delete" icon:

Error
1. Cannot delete "LOCAL MAPPING 11539" because it is referenced by another rule version (Rule: MAP_TWO; Version: version 1).
2. User-Defined Exception in Package FEM_BR_MAPPING_RULE_PVT Procedure DeleteObjectDefinition
3. User-Defined Exception in Package FEM_BUSINESS_RULE_PVT Procedure DeleteObjectDefinition

As a result, you cannot delete either Mapping Rule.
