Why does the Dimension Component creation ask which version of a hierarchy to use when it only
uses the one which falls in the correct effective date?

For example, create a hierarchy with two versions (in two different effective periods):

v1: Effective Dates: Jan-01-2007 to Jun-30-2007
v2: Effective Dates: Jul-01-2007 to Dec-31-2007

When using this hierarchy in the dimension component, you are prompted to choose a version of the

==> Choose v2

Create a simple mapping rule valid within the dates Jan-01-2007 to Dec-31-2007.
Run the rule with an effective date of Jun-11-2007. What would you expect to happen?

The mapping rule ignores the v2 hierarchy version in the dimension component and gives the results
using the v1 of the hierarchy.

Next, undo the rule results and run the rule again with an effective date of Aug-01-2007. This
time, the mapping rule used v2 of the hierarchy.

Is this the correct behavior?
