The QueryTNRequest API Method Will Not Be Available in MetaSolv Solution 6.0.11 Release (Doc ID 436216.1)

Scope

 

Both queryTNRequest and the queryInventoryManagementRequest methods (XmlMetaSolvInventoryManagementAPI.xsd) provide the ability to query for a telephone number.

Because of the duplication, queryTNRequest will be removed in MetaSolv Solution 6.0.11.  The same functionality is available with the queryInventoryManagementRequest when the input structure of choice is QueryTelephoneNumberInventoryValue.

 

In queryTNRequest, the following fields were not required in the XML schema: Reservation, NetworkAreaCity, NetworkAreaStateProv, NetworkAreaCountry, TN Category and TN SubCategory. Within queryInventoryManagementRequest, the same fields are required.  In cases where a valid value is not provided, a default value of 0 (zero) should be provided.

 

Note: This issue will only impact M6.0.8 or M6.0.10 customers using queryTNRequest XML API method. This will not impact customers using queryInventoryManagementRequest. All the fields currently available in queryTNRequest will also be available in queryInventoryManagementRequest.
