Unable to discover ATM PVC when no atm layer exists (type 37 or 107)
Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2016
Applies to:Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 4.0.1 to 5.2.4 [Release 4.0 to 5.2]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
The customer is unable to discover a provisioned PVC within IPSA even though the PVC exists in the running-config of the router. The customer is running 12.3(8)T6 on a 2600 and the PVC isprovisioned on a DSL controller. The Cisco MIB does not have the atm-layer present and therefore,IPSA does not enter the required code path to discover the PVC. This may be an problem with the IOS or it may be the behaviour of the DSL controller .
Problem:If the Cisco MIB does not contain an "atm-layer" of ifType 37 or 107,which is an error of the MIB, IPSA will not be able to discover ATM VCs. At this point only a Cisco 2600 with a DSL controller running 12.3(8)T6exhibits this error.Customer Impact:Without the VC discovered in IPSA, the customer is unable to use IPSAto provision services with traffic shaping on the VC (i.e. service polices)."
