Deadlock error when approving process change (Doc ID 450488.1)

When attempting to approve a process change in GRCM we receive the following error:

"Search Error Encountered in "Search" Transaction (Process ID 128) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. 001234 in CMSDocument.UpdateWorkFlowAction: Login=test DocId=0001234"


Many business processes are active and being used at the same time.  The load on the system has increased.
