Applies to:
Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 7.2.0 to 7.2.0 [Release 7.2]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
The goal of this note is to make IP Service Activator (IPSA) aware of previously unsupported Device Types. When one discovers a device that is not registered in IPSA, the device is listed as unknown. Where this is the case, IPSA does not have a record of the SysObject Id which is recorded in the configuration file, DeviceTypes.cfg. When this happens the details of the new type of router are automatically setup in the database, but the unknown device still needs to be checked and the details modified and setup with the appropriate device driver.
