Cannot Connect To RDC With Remote VPN Client. Everything Else Is Fine (Doc ID 460902.1)

Goal

New RDC installation. Can successfully connect via RDC client local (inside domain), but fails when
RDC Client machine is connecting remotely via VPN.

The error message seen is:

ERROR CREATING SERVLET SESSION. EXITING RDC...

NOTE: when the same failing remote VPN user tries the following URL:


http://<middletiermachinename>/opardc/opaVersionInfo

This works and correctly see the "Test Servlet Accessed Successfully." message.
