CDXDBI.exe Does Not Use The Tablespaces Specified In Storage.par File - CCB 2.1 (Doc ID 464204.1)

When creating a CC&B Database with CDXDBI.exe, any modifications to the tablespaces in the Storage.par file are ignored. The tablespace that is used instead, is the Default tablespace defined for the schema owner. This tablespace is used for all tables and indexes.

The following excerpt from the installation documentation advises that if alternate tablespace names are required, then these can be configured in the Storage.par file:

"Note. The Unix and Windows installs will create an empty database with at least one tablespace for storing the application objects before running the install. The default name of the application tablespace is CISTS_01. If you do not use the default name or want to spread the application objects across multiple tablespaces, you must edit the Storage.par file, supplied with the install package, before the installation process."

So if you want to use non-standard tablespace names then you should define them in the Storage.par
file. This was done - but was ignored by CDXDBI.exe.

To recreate this issue, the steps below can be followed:

1. Create tablespace TMP_TS and assigned it as default tablespace for the schema owner (cisadm)
2. Either leave the storage.par file unchanged which will default to CISTS_01 or you can specify specific
tablespace names.
3. Run CDXDBI.exe
4. Check results: All tables/indexes created for cisadm have tablespace TMP_TS assigned
