Goal

The RPAS (Retail Predictive Application Server) calculation speed appears to depend very much on the total size of the domain, whereas it should depend on the size of the workbook.   Assuming equivalent calculations, a workbook containing 50 items should exhibit similar calculation times, whether it is in a domain containing 500 total items or one containing 20,000 items.

Please see the results of our tests:
Case 1, Domain A:  17909 items, Workbook: 50 items.   Calculation time 8.1 seconds
Case 2, Domain B:  249 items, Workbook: 50 items.   Calculation time 3.4 seconds
Case 3, Domain A:  17909 items, Workbook 1 item.  Calculation time 7.9 seconds

The calculation times for the larger domain are over twice as high as those in the smaller domain, although the workbooks are of the same size (cases 1 and 2).  Furthermore, a workbook built in the large domain to contain only a single item exhibits a high calculation time, as well (case 3).
