Asn_integer — Restricted To 32 Bits;GPRS Usage Of 5 GB Is Populated As 0.

(Doc ID 554901.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: 7.2.1.0.0 to 7.2.1.0.0
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

There are some fields in TAP3.11 which are INTEGER 8 BYTE instead of usual INTEGER 4 BYTE, like
Chargeable Units, ChargedUnit, DataVolumeIncoming, DataVolumeOutgoing, and some of the TOTAL
fields in AuditInformation.

On some records volume is over 2 GB and the fields ChargeableUnits and ChargedUnits
equals to be 0, even the Charge is populated

ChargeDetailList
( 1) ChargeDetail
ChargeType: 00
Charge: $$$
ChargeableUnits: 0
ChargedUnits: 0
ChargeDetailTimeStamp
LocalTimeStamp: 20071204135014
UtcTimeOffsetCode: 1

The ASN_Integer — Used for integer values only has 32 bit. Supported integer values range
from -2147483648 to 2147483647.

Therefore 5 GB value of 5368709120 cannot be stored in this data type.

ERROR
Asn_integer — restricted to 32 bits. Customer has gprs usage of 5gb, populated as 0.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1.Process a GPRS call from the switch with a volume up to 2 GB
2.ChargableUnits and ChargedUnits are 0.

Changes

The issue was tracked in unpublished <> where ASN_INTEGER Data Type was restricting to 32-Bits.  This has been fixed in this bug to support 64-bit fields.
