Item Lookup Is Too Slow When the Register is Offline to the Storeserver (Doc ID 558152.1)

Symptoms

Find that offline registers become very slow at performing item lookup when items are scanned during a sale. Item look up is taking an average of more than 13 seconds when the register is offline to the store server.


Steps To Reproduce:


1. Disconnect a register from the store network or alternatively disconnect the the store server from the network
2. Log in to Oracle Retail Point-Of-Service(ORPOS) (in the register that is Offline)
3. Scan an item or alternatively enter an item number and press enter
4. It takes more than 13 seconds to lookup the item from the database and to populate it in the workspace
