MSCNSP Memory Based Snapshot Errors Concurrent Program Cannot Be Executed (Doc ID 562672.1)

EXECUTABLE:MSCNSP - Memory-Based Snapshot


User migrated from a Solaris instance to a Linux environment following <Note 238276.1>, <Note 362205.1> and <Note 62290.1>. When they try to run an ASCP plan the Launch Planning Processes runs and completes successful, but the next process launched tries to run the Memory Based Snapshot - MSCNSP - but it fails. However no log file is generated. When selecting the Diagnostics button the following error data is observed:

The executable file /ebsdev/u00/app/applmgr/ebsdevappl/msc/11.5.0/bin/MSCNSP for this concurrent program cannot be executed. Contact your system administrator or support representative. Verify that the execution path to the executable.

Tried to relink the executables in $MSC_TOP/bin but the bin directory does not exist. They can get to $MSC_TOP but when they cd bin it errors with: no such file or directory

The APS diagnostics show a full install of MSC and MSO

1. Migrate from Solaris to Linux environment
2. Try to run an ASCP plan and the error occurs
3. Try to relink the executables in $MSC_TOP/bin however they find that while $MSC_TOP directory exists, there is no bin directory
