Last updated on JULY 14, 2008

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version: 7.3.0.0.0
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

On 7.3 in Production:
While trying to retrieve information about an existing rule(example for IFW_RULE) using the input file ifw_rule.xml(the Rule attribute is the only required).

In the output xml file only the Rule attribute comes and NOT the Name and InitScript attributes. Why?

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Load a rule which is having Rule, Name and InitScipt in a xml file.
2. Try to exact the same rule from database, by giving Rule attribute only in an xml file and
executing: LoadIfwConfig -i ifw_rule.xml -r -f -o output.xml
2. Check the output.xml file, it contain only Rule attribute, which is passed via input file, but no Name and InitScript.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expected Name and InitScript attribute data too in output file.
