The requirement is for GL extracts to be incremental; for example, to get a report for activity that occurred between now and the last time the report was run.

If the report is run again some hours or days later, the report should show the activity that occurred between now (e.g. the time of the report just extracted) and the later time (e.g. a couple hours or a couple days from now). The report should not show accumulated data.

An example:

  1. Today, a customer made a purchase for $10.00.
  2. When the report is run, it should show $10.00.
  3. The customer subsequently makes a purchase for $20.00.
  4. When the report is run, it should show $20.00 and not the accumulated value of $30.00.
