Last updated on NOVEMBER 17, 2023

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When selecting a planned order for release, if the item does not have a planner code associated, we receive a message

The planner for this item is not defined as a current employee.
Please define this planner as a current employee in the source database and recollect.

We have items that do not have a planner assigned and in earlier versions, the planner code was never a required field in planning. Has that changed?

Do we need to have a planner/employee assigned to every item?

When PO Requisition Import is run, then release will ERROR with messages and we see in the Requisition Import Output file

Requisition Import Run Report Date: 30-APR-08
-------------------------------------------------

Number of approved requisitions created = 1
Number of unapproved requisitions created = 0
Number of interface lines in error = 1

And then when we run the Requisition Import Exceptions Report
with parameters Import Source - MSC
and Batch ID from the Requisition Import parameters
We see in the Output File
