OutOfMemory Error and Performance Degradation Due to Java Virtual Machine Running out of Heap Space (Doc ID 568663.1)

Symptoms

Java errors due to Java Virtual Machine running out of heap space.
Java.exe process consumes a significant amount of CPU resources.
Application performance degrades until the application server is restarted.


Error: "Stack Trace: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError <> java.lang.OutOfmemoryError at com.agilesoft.web.wizard.WizardHandler.goToStep(WizardHandler.java:144)..."

Error: "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError <>java.lang.OutOfMemoryError <>Exception in thread "main"

Application server java process consumes lots of CPU resources. 


 Significant amount of available RAM and disk space on the application server host.
