Adding capabilities for new interface types in the Network Processor
(Doc ID 579509.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 7.2.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
IP Service Activator (IPSA) comes with a open set of capabilities or "caps" files for devices which you configure to meet your requirements. These are based on a default set of capabilities as set in the "cisco_default.xml" configuration file.
In some cases a new interface type may not be supported, in this situation this will need adding into one of the system capability files.
The example in this note adds support for the VLAN interface type.
