Audit Fails To Recognise Configuration Alias On Device (Doc ID 601387.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 5.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When you initiate an audit on a Catalyst OS (CatOS) device, an error appears in the faults pane, such as:

The alias has been applied to the device and its time-stamp matches the time-stamp that IPSA has
recorded internally. However, the alias in the running configuration of the device is not recognized by IPSA and does not appear as the device version. This message seems to indicate that IPSA is not reading the configuration correctly. (i.e. "Device Version:")

Steps To Reproduce:
Run an audit on a CATOS device (e.g. Cisco 6506, 6509) after applying some configuration.

Business Impact:
The device is considered out of synch and you are unable to configure the device.
