Increasing The Timeout Period For Automated Tasks In Workstream Processes (Doc ID 602106.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 30, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management - Version 6.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Workstream processes in OSM constantly attempt to retrieve the next available task in a workstream. This is done after a fixed period of time (Workstream Refresh Interval - Default 1000 milliseconds) and for a finite number of times (max_workstream_retry - Default 30 attempts). If the task does not complete within that time period, the user will get a message prompting them to either resume processing or abandon the task and return to the worklist. If the user does not respond to this prompt the task might fail.
