Mapping Rule Not Aggregating to One Record When Dimensions in Processing Key Not Used in Rule (Doc ID 729561.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2008

Applies to:

Oracle Profitability Manager - Version: 11.5.10
This problem can occur on any platform.

In Profitability Manager 11i, you have a percent distribution Mapping Rule that takes a set of source records and runs it against a percent distribution data set that consists of one row.  The Mapping Rule is supposed to aggregate the data and output one record.  However, the output now contains multiple rows instead of one.

You have dimensions that exist in the processing key but are not listed in the Mapping Rule debit or credit screen.  This may occur if you need the dimensions for GL-FEM Integration or another product like Financial Consolidation Hub (FCH) or Enterprise Planning and Budgeting (EPB).
