Planning Data Pull Fails With Message - Another Planning Data Pull Process Is Running (Doc ID 730037.1)

Symptoms

Using Order Management / ATP Data Collection, When attempting to perform ATP Data Collection, or Using Advanced Supply Chain Planning / Standard Data Collection When attempting to perform Planning Data Collection, one of the following errors occurs.

Either another Planning ODS Load process is running for this instance or an earlier ODS Load may have been terminated abnormally.If it is the latter case, you need to launch the 'Planning Data Collection - Purge Staging Table' program before launching the Planning Data Collections again.

Either another planning data pull process is running for this instance,or an earlier planning data pull process may have terminated abnormally. In the latter case, you need to launch the 'Planning Data Collection - Purge Staging Table'


or

Another Data Pull process is running.


Steps:
1. (R) OM Super User
2. Accidentally overlap ATP Data Collections
3. Cancel the Data Collections (as an example of generating an incomplete Data Collection)
4. (N) Scheduling > ATP Data Collection
5. Observe the error message

The same situation can be reproduced from the Advanced Planning Suite
1. (R) Advanced Supply Chain Planner
2. (N) Collections > Oracle Systems > Standard Collection
3. Cancel the Data Collections (as an example of generating an incomplete Data Collection)
4. (N) Collections > Oracle Systems > Standard Collection
5. Observe the error message
