Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.
EXECUTABLE:MSCXREPB - VMI Replenishment Engine

Symptoms

11.5.9/11.5.10 in Production and Test
Also seen in R12.0.4.12.0.6 and 12.1.3

PROBLEM
Thousands of MSCX_VMI_ROLExxxxxx in our system since VMI was enabled in 2006.
There are no workflows associated with 90% of these roles.
We have some users with > 10,000 roles and some as high as 500K + rows

When trying to apply the ATG RUP6 patch and this is causing a java hanging issues whenever the user tries to log in to the iSupplier portal.

User Login JVM Crash and long time to change user password also reported in relation to this issue.

What we would like in is a way to delete these roles which are no longer being used.

The following SQL shows the status of the roles on the system

STEPS
Normal Collab planning VMI activities create these rows.
They do not have end dates, so they cannot be purged.

BUSINESS IMPACT
Having trouble logging into the applications in iSupplier - java spins and does not allow logon jeopardizes application of the ATG RUP 6 patch.
