Can the Host Name be used instead of the IP Address for configuring connections/communication in ASAP (Doc ID 730722.1)

Goal

Currently, for some systems, in the comm_param.ins file the connections are configured using the HOST_IPADDR field as the address of a network element. Is there any communication parameter which can be used for a domain name ?
