Setup Instructions - Inline Forecast Support on HP-UX Itanium (Doc ID 731363.1)

Last updated on JULY 15, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Service Parts Planning - Version 11.5.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document provides step-by-step instructions to create, configure and run a Service Parts Planning (SPP) plan with inline forecast on HP-UX Itanium.

Scope

The setup instructions detailed in this document provide a user the flexibility to run concurrent programs on different machines. This flexibility is needed in cases where some libraries or features may not be supported on one platform, allowing the specific concurrent program to run on a different node where those features are supported.

In this document we explain, with an example, a concurrent program "Memory Based Forecaster" (part of Planning code flow) which needs to be invoked on a Solaris (or Linux, HP-UX PA-RISC, IBM AIX) machine which has a dependency on the Demantra library, whereas the entire planning code executes on an HP-UX Itanium machine.
