CORBA Gateway Events 'TIMED OUT' ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT in appserverlog.xml log (Doc ID 739171.1)

Symptoms

MetaSolv Solution is integrated to the LEC with an ordering gateway via CORBA.  Occasionally, when users manually initiate the LSRSendBST gateway event, the status goes from 'Pending' to 'Sending' to 'Error'. The error message visible in the MetaSolv GUI reads, 'Timed Out'. The production system has three application servers pointed to the same database instance.


Business Impact

Due to this issue, ordering gateway events are interrupted because the solution requires a restart of the application server and/or the 3rd party gateway to continue processing the gateway events.
