OGL EPF: Hierarchy Rule Error: Process Registration Has Failed & ORA-01422 on Sub Account

GL EPF Integration
In Enterprise Performance Foundation Administrator (FEM), when running a General Ledger (GL) Hierarchy transfer rule on Sub Account, the rule ends in an error and the following message is in the View Log:
Process Registration has failed.
If you run the Hierarchy Rule with FND: Debug on, the following error is in the fnd_log_messages table:
Unexpected error has occurred: ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows.
Please contact your system administrator.
The Sub Account dimension is mapped to the Sub Account General Ledger segment. This segment has a Value Set with a Dependent validation type. It is dependent on the Account segment.
Steps to replicate:
- Go to the Enterprise Performance Foundation Administrator responsibility
- Go to Data Rules > Oracle Dimension Sources > Define Hierarchy Rules
- Run the Hierarchy Rule
