Record Entries In Asap.User_preference Table (Doc ID 742361.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 17, 2008

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version: 5.2.19
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1. Detailed explaination for records created in our user_preference table.
2. Why would we have entries in this table where the Keyword =
UserAppServerPath when there is a record setup at the Keyword = SysPathServerPath.

For Instance, we have one record:
Keyword = SysPathServerPath
INI_section = API
User_id = $SYS
Key_value = http://appserver.com:8080/backoffice

And if we have multiple records:
Keyword = UserAppServerPath
INI_section = API
User_id = $ASAP, ASAPSU (as well as a few users)
Key_value = http://appserver.com:8080/backoffice

Can we remove the 'Keyword = UserAppServerPath' records because the path is already set up at the
'system' level? Does one 'override' the other?
