Lab Matrix Ignores Requests To Delete Row Or Column On First Attempt (Doc ID 743377.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 13, 2010

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Very often the Lab Matrix will not actually delete the record when you try to delete a lab row or
date column, even after hitting (Yes] button when the warning message pops up.

Subsequent deletions will work appropriately though.

  • Issue only appears to happen if that is the first action you take when entering the Lab Data Matrix window. It doesn't seem to happen when deleting cells.

    Steps to Reproduce:

  • Open any existing case which had Laboratory Data Defined
  • Navigate to:
    • Subject
    • Lab Matrix
  • Locate a Test Date e.g. DD-MON-YYYY
  • Right click on Date and select the option

'Delete all test results for current date (column)'
  • Warning appears:

Delete all test results for current date (column), continue?

    (Yes] [Cancel)

  •  Select (Yes]
  • Data in Screen is not refreshed / deleted
  • Close Lab Matrix
  • Click once again on [Lab Matrix] tab
  • Data is still present and has not been deleted as expected.
  • Repeat steps above, on second attempt the data is actually deleted
  • Problem only seems to reproduce if this is the very first action user takes on entering the Lab Matrix form for a case.

Note: Same issue occurs if user attempts to delete a lab data row e.g.

  • Open any existing case which has Laboratory Data Defined
  • Navigate to
    • Subject
    • [Lab Matrix]
  • Locate a Rpt Test e.g. CHLORIDE
  • Right clicked on 'Rpt Test' and select the option:

Delete all test results for current lab test

  • Warning appears:

Delete all test results for current lab test (row), continue?

       (Yes] [Cancel)

  • Select (Yes]
  • Data in Screen is not refreshed / deleted for Rpt Test CHLORIDE
  • Close Lab Matrix
  • Click once again on [Lab Matrix]
  • Data is still present and has not been deleted
  • Again if user repeats the steps on second attempt Rpt Test is correctly deleted, so issue occurs only if this is first action taken on accessing the Lab Matrix form for case.
