IO Analysis Workbench, Unable To Drill Down To Category After Changing Preference Category Set (Doc ID 747346.1)

Symptoms

When you attempt to drill down to the Category, after changing the Preferences - Category Set, the following error occurs:

You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

A.

  1. Inventory Planner Responsibility
  2. Navigate to the Analysis Workbench
  3. Query a Plan
  4. Click Service Level Versus Profit Analysis - Postponement - Safety Stock
  5. In the results area, drill down Org - Category
  6. Notice that system allows you to drill down and shows the results

B.

  1. Inventory Planner Responsibility
  2. Navigate to Inventory Plan - Workbench
  3. Query a Plan
  4. Click on Tools - Preferences
  5. In the Others tab, General area, change the Category Set
  6. Save
  7. Navigate to the Analysis Workbench
  8. Query the same Plan
  9. Click Service Level Versus Profit Analysis - Postponement - Safety Stock
  10. In the results area, drill down Org - Category
  11. System gives the error:
    You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance.

If, after changing the Preferences - Category Set, you run the INV plan, then you will be able to drill down to Category without getting an error.

Expect the system to behave in the same way as ASCP where you are able to change the Category Set in Preferences and view the plan results without having to rerun the plan again.
