Workflow can not be Started, Scheduled or Deleted after Association with any Method - enhancement request (Doc ID 747685.1)

Symptoms

If the customer attaches a workflow to a method, workflow cannot be Started/Scheduled or Deleted from workflow management window. The start and the delete button get disabled. When you click on the Schedule button, the ADD button is disabled. Only the Edit button works. Even if the workflow is removed from the method the situation is the same. If the method is deleted then also these buttons are grayed out.

Another symptom that may be observed is that the Workflow in question becomes corrupted and the following error message is observed when trying to validate and/or save it.
