The Script "Orapartseed.ksh" Is Taking An Excessive Amount Of Disk Space During Execution (Doc ID 751009.1)

Symptoms

While running ORAPARTSEED.KSH for high volume data,it takes a lot of disk space and causes program to abort due to unavailable disk space.

Instructions to Re-create

  1. The table INV_IL_CUR_DM must have over 65 million records.
  2. Execute the following command: 

       $MMHOME/rfx/src/orapartseed.ksh INV_ITEM_LD_DM INV_IL_CUR_DM DAY

Changes

 While executing, "orapartseed.ksh" includes operators which generate out files to insert into the partition tables, causing the excessive disk space usage.
